Jumpstart your business at the Virginia Beach Farmers Market.
The Farmers Market currently has one space that is available for rent.
The space is currently rented to Seasons Best Bakery in the center circle of the Market. The Bakery’s lease is expiring in May. If you would like a copy of the current Request for Proposal, RFP, or would like to schedule a time to see the space, please contact the Public Works – Real Estate Office at 757-385-4166 or the Farmers Market office at 757-385-4388.
Inspection of the space will be held on April 1, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and you may request other times to tour the space by calling the Market office. Deadline for RFP submission is 3 p.m. on May 22, 2026.
Request for ProposalThe Virginia Beach Farmers Market consists of 16 leasable units.
Some of the units are enclosed, and some are only covered. The spaces vary in size ranging from +/- 250 square feet to +/- 1,400 square feet. Some spaces have additional space outside.
If you would like to be notified when a future Request for Proposals (RFP) for a leasable unit will be accepted, please contact Public Works - Real Estate Office at (757) 385-5353.
To start preparing your RFP for consideration, you need to provide a summary of your business concept that answers the following questions:
- What service(s) will you provide?
- What line of products will you sell?
- Is your business currently in operation, and if so, for how long?
- What is the address of the existing business, if applicable?
