Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) Agents help community members understand money management and financial responsibility. Through various workshop and training opportunities, participants learn how spending styles affect financial decision-making. Additionally, participants develop the following skills:
This program focuses on helping families build their financial capacity by teaching families about managing money, planning for home ownership, getting out of debt, planning for retirement and preventing identity theft through classes and one-on-one mentoring.

The Virginia Cooperative Extension’s Family Nutrition Program helps families with limited resources learn how to eat healthier and be more active.
All programming and materials are free; however, you must be eligible for (but not necessarily enrolled in) the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Virginia Beach’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program in order to qualify.
